| More about electric cars -- there have been half a dozen or so successful American cars, mostly as a result of CA legislation: the Chevy S-10 EV, the Ford Ranger EV, the GM EV1, the Toyota RAV4 (well, it might have been made here). They look great and their owners (or 'leasers' because the automakers would seldom allow their sale) loved them. Why we can't buy them now is a mystery to me. And possibly a moral crime ...
