New wind turbine plant opens tomorrow in Weld County! (ejohnson)
The Denver Post has a nice article.  They're gearing up to make 600 turbines worth of blades each year.  Getting this facility to locate in Colorado is a real coup for the state.

Another reason to buy local (ejohnson)
A Daily Camera op-ed takes a look at the role of corruption in the tainted Chinese products scandal.  Not that every product from China is necessarily tainted, or that the problem doesn't exist elsewhere.  The point is, when possible, know your producer.  That increases accountability.

90 kW photovoltaic array for Lafayette company (ejohnson)
A Lafayette company, Broomfield Sheet Metal, is working with Boulder-based EyeOn Energy on a rather large photovoltaic system.  EyeOn owns the system and gets the tax benefits.  Broomfield Sheet Metal gets a fixed price for electricity for the next 20 years.
